For a chill out away from the madding crowds, or a physical, mental and emotional detox, or to enjoy a celebration in nature with family and friends, we have something to offer you.

What makes Renewal Retreat different?

A sacred space where you can breathe pure air, drink natural spring water, enjoy untouched nature, magnificent views, and just unwind.

The Retreat is essentially plant-based, however guests staying in the Pincushion cottage or Heath House accommodation on a self-catering option can prepare meals according to their own preference. A braai is provided at both of these accommodation units. Plant-based (pre-ordered) meals are available for self- catered accommodation stays. All Lifestyle Makeover stays are 100% plant-based in line with our respect for all animals as sentient beings.

Renewal Retreat offers:

  • Individual lifestyle enhancement programmes
  • Catered or self-catered getaways (Catered meals are plant-based)
  • A variety of workshops (still in construction)
  • Courses and health and wellness retreats(still in construction)

Send an email to renewalretreatsa at gmail.com to enquire about Lifestyle Makeover Stays or to be informed of workshops, courses and health and group wellness retreats.

Services

Renewal Retreat is located in a safe and isolated area high up on the Kammanassie mountain range. The road ends at the Retreat. As such we have very limited access to labour. We are 100% off the grid which means managing the power in accordance with the weather. Lots of sunshine equals lots of electricity. Cloudy days means being more prudent in using items that draw electricity such as hair dryers.

SOLAR PANELS

For Retreat, Workshop and Individual Programme Guests:

The Retreat has been structured to be one of Living and Learning, where guests should leave with practical knowledge that they can implement to enhance their lifestyle when they return home.

This means that there is nobody to make your bed in the morning or sweep your room out (unless you are on an extended stay).   Meals are prepared together so that you gain knowledge of plant-based food preparation.  Solar powers the dishwashing machines and when there are multiple guests you will be requested to assist in the packing of the machines after meals.

Change of linen is supplied for longer retreats and staff permitting, this will be done for you.

Generally, we would love for you to feel at home and to participate in the events of daily living in a healthy happy lifestyle where nature provides an abundance of peace and joy.
