Pincushion
This traditional Karoo-style labourers cottage has been completely upgraded, just leaving one wall in in an original state.
A pincushion is a beautiful indigenous fynbos. We decided to incorporate some of these plants around the cottage and to name it Pincushion.
Pincushion has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a living area comprising lounge / dining and kitchen.
Ibis
This delightful room has one of the original labourers cottage walls. A door leads onto the outside south facing verandah with magnificent views of the Langkloof valley and the Outeniqua mountains.
Ibis has a queen size bed.
The bathroom is ensuite and comprises a shower, basin and compost toilet.
Lark
The second bedroom in Pincushion is east facing and has a door that leads onto an north facing verandah with magnificent views of the Kammanassie mountains that Renewal Retreat forms part of.
Lark has a double bed.
The bathroom is ensuite and comprises a shower, basin and compost toilet.
Facilities at Pincushion
Pincushion boasts an amazing private rock fire pit. Wood is provided.
The summer months can be hot and other than being able to go and swim in the mountain water dam on the property, you can enjoy a dip in your own private plunge rock pool.
